XUV 550 shifting. I bought this 2012 unit used failing to read the reviews before purchasing. To date I have installed a new clutch, new cables and I still have trouble shifting. I brought it to the local JD dealer and was told they have to shave millimeters from each of the 6 clutch plates due to "occasional use." It's a brand new clutch!

XUV 550 trans noise. New to the gator forum. I have a brand new 550 with only 4 hours on it. The wife used it yesterday and it was fine, pulled it in the garage and parked it. Today it will only move in reverse, no forward. It makes a grinding sound when you put it in high or low. No difference in 4wd either.
