I heard that GrapheneOS is built to be a little more secure, but I don't think really matters when comparing with /e/. Software aside I do think the Fairphone is better hardware, although mostly for ethical reasons. EDIT: If you make it to the point where it boots GrapheneOS or /e/ you shouldn't have much Problems compared to regular Android.

As of now no there is some hack but it's app per app based. Graphene is working on this support layer but it's not even in beta now just because it required a lot work, like location implementation required system level api to always access your location you get the idea. Let me the app you want to use i can suggest you how to run it on graphene.
