I think most if not all 3ph's have two possible oil paths to the cylinder. One path is through the flow control valve and the other is through a ball check valve that is part of the flow-control valve assembly.If it has a draft control 3ph, it may be in draft control mode. It'd be better if somebody who has one describes the operation.

In uneven ground, varying soil conditions, the farmer had to readjust the plow as he went along, NOT an easy task. Position control allows you to set, and keep set, the height of an implement anywhere within the lift range from full up to full down. Where as draft control sets the amount of drag - or depth of a plow.

Rick, it sounds like your hydraulics are working normal, when in the draft position the hydraulics operate differantly, they are controled by the movement of the draft spring that is attatched from the hydraulic rocker to below your seat.
